Our family moved to California in July and my husband began school
almost immediately. I had been earnestly praying and searching for a job even
before relocating because I was aware of the many obligations we had
left behind as well as those awaiting us. We were encouraged to step out
in faith and so we rented a house close to campus and settled in.
One
month went by and I had attended a few interviews but received no job offer.
We kept praying. Two months went by and our funds were running dangerously low but there
was still no job in sight. My husband continued to attend school but we both
knew it would only a matter of time before we would have a negative balance in our account. We cried out to God, "Lord, we claim your promise that you would never leave us nor forsake us...we know you will provide.."
It was a Thursday afternoon and I remember casually
answering my husbands call to our room and hearing him say to me, "I
just checked our account and saw that a full paycheck from my old job
was deposited today" My jaw dropped in disbelief.
How could
this be? He left the job two months ago, he received his final paycheck
and there was nothing else for him to collect. How could this be? Did
God provide this money for us or was this a mistake?
That night we prayed a reluctant prayer of thanksgiving as we were aware of the call we would have to make in the morning. "Mr. Gibson we checked our records and there were vacation hours that had accrued and...there is no mistake sir." HALLELUJAH!!!!!! God came through for us in a miraculous way that day!! He provided what we needed and more!! "Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear." Isaiah 65:24 God is worthy to be praised!
For waking us up this morning, for starting us on our way, for letting us see the sunrise of a brand new day, for brand new mercies along with each new day, that's why we praise you, for this, we give you praise!

Psalm 23
The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. HE IS OUR PROVIDER!
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
he refreshes my soul. HE IS OUR STRENGTH!
He guides me along the right paths
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake HE IS OUR GUIDE!
Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil
I will fear no evil
for you are with me; HE IS OUR PROTECTOR!
your rod and your staff,
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me. HE IS OUR COMFORTER!
You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows. HE IS OUR SUSTAINER!
Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever. HE IS OUR HOPE!
And so we praise him!
And so we praise him!

For every mountain, I give you praise! - Our Testimony In Song
There hasn't been a challenge that God has not seen me through. What he has done for me, he can do for you! Although the recording is not clear and you can hear our children in the background :) I want to share this song with you to encourage you. There is nothing too hard for the Lord. No matter what you are going through, he is ABLE to see you through. He is worthy to be praised!
Welcome to our blog! This blog was created to be a source of encouragement to anyone who visits. We are a family of four and have experienced in so many ways the awesome power of prayer, devotion and praise to God. Here you will find, devotional thoughts, testimonies and praise in song. Our prayer is that you will receive a blessing and your love for Christ will grow even stronger. May God bless you!
Exodus 15:2 says “The LORD is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him."
